Kings XI and Supergiants Hope For A Decent Exit

20 May 2016 : Saturday’s IPL match to be held in Vizag will see the exit of Kings XI Punjab along with Rising Pune Supergiants. The two teams will be playing in the IPL 2016 for the final time. Many players of the Rising Pune Supergiants exited the league after having suffered injuries during the season.

Pune Supergiants have secured a place in the match to be held on Saturday after beating Delhi Daredevils. Kings XI Punjab on the other hand have lost the last two matches played against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

MS Dhoni of the Pune Supergiants team had to face an acute shortage of players in his team on account of a large number of players exiting from the league due to injuries. Pune Supergiants would have definitely expected to perform better with the inclusion of good players like Mitchell Marsh, Steve Smith and Kevin Pietersen in the team. However, most of the international players had to exit the league due to injuries.

As for Kings XI Punjab, even the leadership of Murali Vijay failed to produce the desired effect. The team has been lagging since the beginning of the league. The performance of the team was adversely affected by the rift between the team owners and management. The exit of Shaun Marsh and Glenn Maxwell was a big loss for the team.

In the match to be held on Saturday, both teams will be playing to ensure a decent exit from the league.
