24 May 2016 : The Delhi Daredevils had to exit the IPL 2016 after suffering a defeat from Royal Challengers Bangalore. The wicketkeeper of the Delhi Daredevils team Quinton De Kock showered praises for the exceptional performance of the Royal Challengers which restricted the runs scored by them in the match to 138.
In a conference, the South African cricketer stated that the Royal Challengers built pressure on the Delhi Daredevils team due to the good bowling done by their spinners. The bowling strategy of the Royal Challengers caused the Delhi Daredevils to lose wickets, which made scoring runs through partnership difficult. He also praised the performance of the Royal Challengers captain Virat Kohli. The captain hit 54 runs from 45 balls.
De Kock managed to score 62 runs from 50 balls. The team however lost the match against the Royal Challengers.
De Kock also acknowledged that the IPL had proven to be a learning experience for him. He said that the matches he participated in the IPL had immensely contributed in improving his spin bowling abilities. He said that he was looking forward to being a part of the IPL in the next season.
