28 May 2016 : Royal Challengers and Sunrisers Hyderabad are all set to battle it out to claim the IPL trophy at the final match to be played on Sunday in Bengaluru.
Royal Challengers have been runners up in the past IPL finals held in 2009 and 2011. This gives them an advantage over Sunrisers Hyderabad. Having missed the title the previous two times, the RCB has high hopes this time.
The RCB has exhibited some exceptional form in latter phase of the IPL, which helped them secure a position in the finals.
Virat Kohli’s captaincy acted as a motivator after a disappointing and below the mark start of the team in the first few matches. Kohli’s leadership and batting performance created a huge impact on the rest of the team. In this season of the IPL, Kohli has secured a total of 919 runs so far from 15 games. His highest score was 113 and in the tournament he managed to score four centuries and six fifties.
